Key Responsibilities of a Murex System Specialist:

  • Implement and configure Murex systems in various areas including datamart, MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, RTBS, and MDCS.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and verify system requirements.
  • Analyse and make recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical capability and a solid understanding of Murex configuration and development.

Minimum 2 years experience with Murex in a support capacity is required.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Providing detailed information about system issues to vendors and coordinating testing fixes/solutions.
  • Acting as an intermediary between business teams and vendors.
  • Debugging and enhancing bespoke Java processes supporting the Murex system.
  • Dealing directly with business users to analyse and diagnose system critical issues.
  • Resolving system-related issues including risk, pricing, PnL, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, and reporting.
