The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.We are looking for a senior/lead full-stack engineer to partner directly with our Growth Product Managers and build end-to-end solutions across web, backend, and (ideally) mobile. This is a one-person strike team role: rapidly translate business hypotheses into production software without proxies. What You’ll Do: Partner 1:1 with the Growth PMs to turn hypotheses into shipped software: scope, design, build (frontend/backend/mobile), launch, measure Own end-to-end delivery of micro-features, internal tools, and integrations across multiple Sauce products Design pragmatic architectures in .NET + React/Next.js (and Node.js where useful); create clean APIs and resilient services Set up analytics/telemetry for every experiment (events, dashboards, alerts) and run A/B tests to validate impact Build and maintain 3P integrations (payments, couriers, ordering marketplaces), including webhooks, retries, idempotency, and monitoring Ship fast with CI/CD and feature flags; own on-call for what you build and drive post-mortems and hardening Collaborate with core R&D when scale-up is needed; document pathways from prototype → productized service Stack you’ll touch: .NET 8/C#, React + Next.js + TypeScript, Node.js (select services), MongoDB/SQL, Azure/GCP, React Native/Adalo (nice-to-have), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), n8n/Make/Zappier/Retool for fast ops tooling What You Bring: 8+ years hands-on development in .NET/C# plus strong frontend experience (React, Next.js, TypeScript) and server-side Node.js Proven B2C-at-scale experience (high traffic, consumer UX, performance SLAs) Demonstrated “one-man-show/MacGyver” delivery: own scoping, architecture, coding, testing, and release Expert in API integrations (payments, logistics, third-party marketplaces) and building reliable integration layers Solid with datastores (MongoDB and SQL), caching, and event-driven patterns Strong cloud experience (Azure + GCP), CI/CD, and production observability Data-driven mindset: instrument features, define success metrics, run A/B tests, and iterate quickly with Growth PM Excellent communication: able to collaborate directly with business stakeholders and field teams, no proxy PM/BA needed Proven business acumen: capable of understanding and leveraging business context in decision making Passion for code quality, usability, and performance under real-world constraints Will be a plus: Prior Growth engineering or marketplace experience at companies like Uber, DoorDash, Grubhub (or similar on-demand/B2C) Mobile: React Native and/or Adalo for rapid experiments; ability to publish lightweight mobile experiences Experience as Tech Lead/Architect in a startup; comfort refactoring legacy systems while shipping new bets Familiarity with low/no-code to accelerate experiments (n8n/Make/Zapier) and wire them safely into core systems Security & privacy awareness for consumer data; knows what to log and what not to log in growth contexts Required Technology & Equipment: Personal computer or laptop with up-to-date software High-speed internet connection Keyboard, mouse, working webcam, and headset with a microphone Primary 24” monitor (with an additional 24” monitor preferred) What We Offer: Strong & Competitive Compensation Package Flexible Work Environment 10 Paid Personal/Vacation Days 5 Paid Sick Days Monthly Wellness Stipend High-leverage role as the founding engineer for Growth, with direct line to PM and execs Real users, immediate feedback loops, and autonomy to choose the fastest path to impact Modern stack (microservices/serverless where it helps) and supportive senior engineering culture Remote-friendly, flexible schedule, and an environment optimized for rapid experimentation Sauce is an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
