1.0 VACANCY REQUIREMENTS

JOB TITLE: Driller

REPORTING TO: Toolpusher/Tourpusher

LOCATION: Offshore

Minimum Licenses, Training and Experience

• OGUK or STCW compliant Health Certificate.
• Basic Safety Training (OPITO approved BOSIET, STCW Basic Training w/HUET, or CBSP w/HUET is the minimum requirement).
• IWCF Well Control, Driller, Combined, Level 3. Final determination on acceptable training schools will be made by Seadrill upon review of credentials.
• Submit relevant certificates and licenses with the candidate CV.
• Special Requirements/Restrictions to be listed here. If blank, no additional requirements beyond standard industry experience for the role and rig type.

The candidate must possess the relevant technical experience for this role, and additionally possess:

• A strong leadership and communication ability.
• A good ability to speak, read and write English.
• A strong sense of accountability and ownership for performance and safety of crew and rig.

All candidates who pass initial CV screening and possess the basic certifications and licenses are required to complete online psychometric assessments. Results will be used as part of overall screening.

• Assessments must be completed prior to any further screening or interviews.
• Candidates will be notified via email if chosen to take the assessment.
• The assessment needs to be completed within 5 days to ensure an efficient screening process. If unable to take the assessment within that period, please notify Seadrill.
• Read and follow the directions sent with the assessment link; failure to follow instructions may affect results.

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all well and drilling activities and actively supervise the drilling crew.

1.2 QHSE

Responsible for / ensure:

• Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct.
• Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements and laws.
• That all relevant personnel are adequately trained in handling emergencies.
• That all emergency equipment is in good condition and configured as required.
• Non-conformances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.
• All relevant governing documents are revised as required.
• Compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanliness.
• Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan.
• Contribute with OBS card reporting.

Assist With:

• Verifying client drilling program against Seadrill requirements.
• Seadrill training, certification and competence compliance management.

Participate In:

• Meetings in a proactive and constructive manner.
• Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required.

1.3 JOB SPECIFIC

Responsible For / ensure:

• Owner of well integrity at all times.
• Directing all activities related to drilling operations in accordance with the drilling program.
• Monitoring well bore condition, interpreting and responding to downhole conditions.
• Securing the well during an emergency or well control situation.
• Executing well kill operations as per instructions from Seadrill supervisors.
• Conducting well and drilling activities as directed by the Toolpusher/Tourpusher.
• The drill floor is never left unattended when connected to a well.
• All relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports and revised as required.
• Clear daily operational guidelines provided to all direct reports.
• Visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations.
• All drills and checks conducted as required.
• All applicable reports and logs as required by supervisors, client and company.
• Assist with preparation for future drilling operations.
• Thorough handovers at each daily change of shift.
• Subordinates are trained for higher positions where possible.
• Other duties as directed by the direct supervisor.

1.4 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

Responsible For / ensure:

• Operational preparedness of all safety and emergency equipment.
• First-line maintenance of drilling equipment is performed and recorded.

1.5 AUTHORITY

• As per Corporate and Regional specific Delegation of Authority matrices.

1.6 QUALIFICATIONS

• As per Seadrill training and competence directives.
