Detailed Responsibilities Plan, discuss, and execute the schedule for the development of new products, applications, technological reviews, and technical assistance in the operational region and in synergy with the strategy of ICL Food Specialties, in the meat and processed meat segment. Evaluate and make technical recommendations related to the application of new ingredients, formulations, or food processing technologies using ICL products; Develop ingredient and additive formulations for injected, emulsified, marinated, cured products, among others; Operate and validate typical meat industry processes and equipment (injection, emulsification, mixing, cooking, cooling, oven, among others); Conduct bench and pilot tests focusing on functionality, stability, and technological performance;- Evaluate parameters such as water retention, texture, color, yield, and shelf life in different meat matrices (beef, pork, poultry, and fish); Knowledge in functionality of ingredients and technological interactions in meat systems; - Interact with clients and internal departments for technical support and the development of customized solutions; Knowledge of regulations applicable to the meat category, with the ability to develop prototypes in compliance with local legislation; Keep up to date with current and future technologies used in food processing through constant review of technical literature, attendance at seminars, and other training and technical update events; Consolidate and ensure the documentation of activities and practical tests through test reports, trials, and applications in an appropriate tool, which must include: objectives, formulas, processing conditions, necessary equipment, as well as the setup of specific machinery; Participate in/Conduct meetings, workshops, seminars, and technical sessions related to the field of activity and in accordance with ICL's annual budget and planning; Conduct laboratory tests, pilot tests, prototype production, and process scale-up, whether at ICL application plants, other institutions, or client sites; Compile information for the registration of new ICL products, prepare preliminary data sheets and technical information, as well as calculate, establish, and adjust ICL product formulations according to specific legislation following regulatory consultation; Monitor trends and regulations in the meat sector; - Supervise the activities of the Intern; - Operate and ensure sanitary and operational maintenance of the equipment and all infrastructure associated with the ICL South America Food Applications Centre, ensuring its full functionality; Build and maintain a network with external partners, such as institutes, universities, and specialists; - Protect and safeguard the company's intellectual property, as well as confidential information. Education Requirements Essential: Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; Advanced English; Intermediate Spanish.
