About The Role We are looking for a highly innovative, data‑driven Retention Marketing Manager who is motivated by the challenge of working with some of the fastest growing e‑commerce and digital brands. You will join a team of email, SMS, and retention marketing experts to drive client revenue, partner with cross‑functional colleagues, and deepen retention and loyalty. This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Spain, Mexico, Portugal, and Brazil. Responsibilities Lead client retention strategy as the primary retention lead for select clients, including bi‑weekly client meetings to discuss initiatives. Report on strategic KPIs, create insights and actionable recommendations to grow client retention, engagement, and revenue. Develop strategic campaign calendars and prioritize projects to scale clients’ email, SMS, loyalty and subscription programs. Project manage and delegate campaign briefs to a team of retention specialists and designers. Review all client briefs and designs for quality before approval. Assign segmentation and QA for email and SMS campaigns to ensure flawless delivery. Execute automation/flow logic set‑up, pop‑up builds, and app integrations. Coordinate cross‑departmentally with Growth, Digital, and Marketplaces teams to develop cohesive campaigns that drive client growth. Qualifications 5+ years of digital marketing experience with hands‑on retention focus. Proven track record scaling personalized D2C/e‑commerce email and SMS programs that build deep customer relationships. Strong ability to creatively message value propositions for brand product catalogs in engaging, informative campaigns. Experience developing creative customer journeys and loyalty programs that drive loyalty and lifetime value. Hands‑on experience with Klaviyo (or similar ESPs), including list segmentation, lifecycle drip automations, and triggered events. Knowledge of Shopify and related tech stack options such as Privy, JustUno, Yotpo, Octane AI, etc. Experience with SMS platforms such as Attentive, PostScript, SMSBump, or Klaviyo. Ability to project manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Data‑driven mindset and proficiency converting analytics into actionable strategies that drive revenue. Dedication to continuous learning and staying on the cutting edge of DTC marketing trends. Experience developing and executing customer loyalty programs that enhance LTV. Prior direct report experience and exceptional leadership skills working with cross‑functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. A Day in the Life Serve as the primary retention lead for select clients, working to develop best‑in‑class retention strategies and leading bi‑weekly meetings.
