We are seeking an expert in software development to lead our new team. As a Java developer with experience in Spring Boot and microservices, you will design and implement scalable software solutions. A strong background in database management, particularly with SQL Server or Oracle, is required. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular is also essential for this role. Leadership Expectations You will be responsible for leading a team of 4-5 engineers and QA professionals. Providing technical direction to the team and ensuring that projects are completed on time. Owning deliverables and working closely with the project manager to ensure successful project outcomes. Team Context We are building a new team from scratch, with support from an onshore team. The main objective of this team is to integrate Sardine into our application. The team will be structured around the needs of the project, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. There will be a live coding exercise as part of the interview process. Technical Requirements We are using Java 8, JBoss framework, and Jersey for API development. Spring Boot is used for dependency injection, and we utilize frameworks like Swagger, Prometheus, slf4j, standard utility/monitoring/logging stuff. JUnit is the primary unit testing tool used in our stack. What We Offer This is a short-term position, but we are committed to providing a supportive environment for our team members to grow and develop their skills. As the project progresses, there may be opportunities for long-term engagement based on performance and budget considerations.
