The Tax Analyst Junior role is an operational position responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day tax activities. The role involves processing tax documentation, preparing and filing tax returns, and contributing to compliance with Brazil’s and Informa’s tax framework, meeting all statutory obligations. The Junior Tax Analyst will provide technical skills to your team and contribute to the organisation’s success. You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to and that specific duties are carried out within set time limits while providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues. Key responsibilities Gather data, prepare and file government tax returns for multiple entities. Preparation of tax filing obligations. Prepare federal and municipal indirect tax returns. Calculate and process monthly indirect tax payments. Prepare property tax filings and business registrations. Prepare tax account reconciliations. Review exemption certificates. Monitor the validity of tax certificates and ensure renewal within deadlines. Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities or internal customers. Maintain organized digital and physical tax documentation archives. Prepare and analyze tax reports for management review. Assist with tax refund applications and follow‑up processes. Help with and follow up on tax calendar management to ensure timely compliance. Participate in tax technology implementation and improvement projects. Support tax provision calculations for financial reporting. Research tax legislation updates and their potential impact. General administration duties. Skills & Abilities Good communication skills at all levels, including a wide range of stakeholders within the business. Demonstrates problem‑solving skills. Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency. Pro‑active, takes initiative and encourages teams to do the same. Act with integrity, tact, and diplomacy. Organised, diligent with attention to detail and able to maintain these skills whilst working under pressure. Good skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams are essential. Qualifications Good knowledge and understanding of all tax processes, best practice processes and technology. Knowledge of Oracle system desirable. Recognised qualification. More than 2 years of relevant experience in Finance Services or Tax roles.
