Project Description: Open Video project is focused on OTT platform development for one of the largest North American TV providers. We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to assess software quality through automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze system specifications
  2. Execute test cases and analyze results
  3. Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  4. Report bugs and errors to development teams
  5. Help troubleshoot issues
  6. Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
  7. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  8. Selection or identification of test cases for automation
  9. Creating an automation test plan
  10. Automation framework design and implementation according to the project structure
  11. Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running test cases
  12. Organizing, monitoring defect management process
  13. Handling changes and conducting regression tests
  14. Find solutions for issues related to object identity issues and error handling
  15. Interaction with the people on the client side to solve problems and update the situation
  16. Conduct performance testing to verify system scalability, efficiency, and reliability
  17. Create a test summary report for management review
  18. Analyze the underlying causes of performance issues and provide corrective action
  19. Suggest new tools and techniques to improve test efficiency
  20. Help in project planning, scheduling, budget, and tracking activities
  21. Assist in project design, development, and deployment activities
  22. Develop automated test scenarios and environments for performance testing
  23. Review and recommend improvements in existing test procedures

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Good written/verbal communication skills
  2. Experience in writing test cases
  3. Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
  4. Good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills
  5. Experience in testing Android platforms
  6. Familiar with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins
  7. Experience with Agile Development
  8. Development experience with Java, Appium, Selenium, Webdriver.io
  9. Knowledge and use of Android Studio, Charles Proxy, ADB logcat

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. Experience with AndroidTV is a plus
