WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership to define and drive the technical strategy
- Plan and deliver digital channels projects - quickly and safely, without compromising quality
- Lead technology team, including project success and long-term talent management (attraction, development, assessment, retention)
- Define the appropriate balance of developing solutions internally or via third parties. Manage digital assets service providers
- Promotes constructive debate, voices opinions explicitly that help shape key decisions and fosters this behavior and mindset across the organization
- Interaction with multiple stakeholders - technical and business leaders
- Work closely with the global Santander structures: Digital Channels Center of Excellence Unit
- Challenge the status quo, consider alternatives and make hard choices
Required qualifications:
- Self-learner
- Experience with technology transformation
- Experience with software development, DevSecOps, agile and other methodologies
- Experience writing codes and leading developers
- Experience with mission critical systems, availability and resilience
- Analytical, problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Digital assets affinity
- English (read, speak, write)
Desirable:
- Excellent communication skills - in both written and orally
- Fluency in English
- Experience supporting and delivering financial and banking products
- Experience with software engineering in an agile development cycle. Developing and implementing architectures, best practices and cloud platform.
