Accounting Consultant

Overview

Are you a detail-oriented accountant with a passion for technology and a curiosity for how things work under the hood? Along with our partner, we’re looking for an Accounting Consultant (AI Trainer) to join our team as we build the next generation of AI tools for the accounting industry. This isn't your typical accounting role—you won't be closing books or managing ledgers. Instead, you'll be at the heart of our product development, using your expertise to train and shape AI agents that will revolutionize accounting workflows. We're not just building a product; we’re shaping the fundamental logic that underpins it. You'll work closely with our partners' accounting and engineering teams to define what "correct" means in the context of real-world accounting, helping us build net-new capabilities from the ground up.

• Train and shape AI agents used in accounting workflows, collaborating with partners' accounting and engineering teams.
• Define what constitutes "correct" in real-world accounting contexts to support net-new capabilities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate accounting knowledge into AI-ready specifications.

• 3+ years of experience in a hands-on accounting career.
• Native / bilingual English (read, written, and spoken).
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously.
• Clear, concise, and thoughtful in written communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong spreadsheet skills.

• Command of accounting: quick to understand a wide variety of accounting workflows and help customers problem-solve.
• Process-oriented: skilled at breaking down complex problems into clear, repeatable steps and managing execution.
• Strong communicator: clear at explaining concepts and comfortable collaborating with both senior and junior stakeholders.
• First principles reasoner: our partner is building net-new capabilities, and assumptions need to be questioned; they look for people who can apply lessons from past work to new situations.

Salary: $1,000 - $1,500 USD per month
