Payroll Specialist About the Opportunity We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our global payroll team. This role will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in payroll operations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Responsibilities: Process Brazil payroll for employees, including regular cycles and off-cycle payrolls. Manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll data. Remit Brazilian employee payroll deposits and monthly FGTS/INSS payroll tax payments. Understand union agreements and serve as a point of contact for employee and/or vendor questions. Maintain knowledge of Brazil payroll tax compliance. Work closely with internal accounting department to provide support on payroll-related questions or documentation. Cross-functional collaboration with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies. Requirements: Minimum of 2-4 years of payroll processing experience. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders. Exposure to SOX-regulated environment is preferred but not required. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proven time management skills. Recent processing experience with Deel or other third-party payroll providers. Knowledge of Sao Paulo Union agreements and Brazilian labor laws. Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and proficiency in English.
