The Role

The Social Media Manager will plan, coordinate, and implement social media campaigns and community-growth strategies for Bitfinex. The role requires understanding of Bitfinex as well as trading, financial markets, and crypto, and the ability to communicate with professional and institutional audiences. The successful candidate will translate our values into engaging campaigns across social channels. You will develop and execute a social media strategy to grow our presence, engagement, and trust with customers and followers. You will monitor progress, present updates to the senior and marketing teams, and continually optimize campaigns based on performance and market trends.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Develop and implement social strategies that drive community engagement, brand awareness, and user acquisition.
  • Conceptualize, categorize, visualize, edit, and publish social content.
  • Create and manage social distribution plans and schedules aligned with broader marketing efforts.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and report on strategies and campaigns weekly.
  • Prioritize the community and build positive relationships with supporters and the wider audience.
  • Collaborate with the PR team on joint social initiatives.
  • Network with industry professionals and influencers to benefit PR and marketing efforts.
  • Surface customer feedback with the product team to inform product developments.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to generate social buzz around product launches.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management or strategy in technology, finance, or media.
  • Proactive self-starter able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and balancing short-term with long-term priorities.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with copywriters, designers, customer support, and product managers.
  • Diplomatic handling of negative sentiment and ability to turn detractors into supporters.
  • Ability to leverage data to demonstrate how social goals align with broader business aims.
  • Experience working with visuals, GIFs, and media assets.
