This position is an entry level role with responsibility for execution of complaint handling tasks including complaint assessment, reportability determination, complaint investigation, and final complaint review. This role reports to Sr. Quality Manager – Global Post-Market Surveillance.
Responsibilities- Execute assigned Post-Market Surveillance activities including Complaint Assessment, Complaint Investigation, Reportability Determination, and Final Complaint Review primarily for low severity complaints, with scope to handle more complex complaints over time. Flow to Work to assist other team members as needed.
- Provide Post-Market Surveillance support for assigned mills/products/regions. Complete Low Level Complaint Investigations as needed.
- Execute continuous improvement plans and activities for established processes and support development of new processes to deliver business results.
- Maintain relationships with Consumer Services, including reporting of and troubleshooting errors, and coordinating complaint handling activities and improvements.
- Build and maintain capability for compliance with other areas to support objectives.
- Ensure activities are compliant with company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations (e.g., FDA 21 CFR 820-198, Canadian Medical Device Regulations SOR/98-282, ISO requirements).
- Maintain knowledge and skill in quality systems, products, processes, and regulations.
- Establish and maintain good customer rapport while driving solutions to meet business needs and develop a strong spirit of partnership.
- Conduct all communications with integrity; communicate fully with superiors and team members who need to know; maintain compliance with Kimberly-Clark Code of Conduct.
- Escalate issues as they occur and assist with quality checks as needed/assigned.
- Handle other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain compliance by completing all required training within the required timeframes.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related discipline
- Experience in a Quality, Manufacturing, Research & Engineering, or Regulatory function
- Demonstrates application of LEAN / Continuous Improvement skills
- Good oral and written communication skills – Portuguese and English is required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with minimal daily instructions
- Knowledge of Medical Device, Consumer, Cosmetic, and/or Drug regulatory requirements is desired
- Developing negotiating skills
- Developing understanding of business needs
- Ability to prioritize key business objectives and respond quickly to changing priorities
- Experience in customer service / complaint handling preferred
