**About this role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead a culinary team and oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and delicious menus while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. **Experience working in a fine-dining restaurant and knowledge of Italian cuisine** will be considered an advantage.
**Assistance with relocation will be provided**.
**Responsibilities**
Menu Planning and Execution:
- Develop creative and diverse menus that cater to our target audience, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, seasonality, and food trends.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of all dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Continuously innovate and introduce new culinary concepts to enhance the dining experience.
Kitchen Management:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and cleanliness.
- Manage inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and other culinary personnel, to maintain high levels of productivity and performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting open communication, teamwork, and professional development.
- Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Quality Control and Cost Management:
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, conducting regular quality control checks.
- Control food costs and minimize waste by implementing portion control measures, proper storage techniques, and efficient production methods.
- Collaborate with management to develop and manage the kitchen budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain records to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
**Requirements**:
- English language proficiency
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Exceptional creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
