About the Project At Nearsure, we build a community of passionate professionals for future opportunities. With over 160 new hires every year, we are constantly expanding our team. Senior Java Engineer – Role Overview As a Senior Java Engineer, you will lead a team that creates and maintains distributed, event‑driven microservices using Java and Kubernetes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Drive architecture and design efforts for the Integrations team. Promote engineering best practices and foster a standards‑driven environment. Mentor newer engineers to help them grow. Represent the team in architecture, design, and other technical meetings with stakeholders. Present new services and major features to our Architecture Review Board for approval. Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience with Java. 1+ years of experience with Kotlin. Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.). Experience with RESTful API design and development. Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra). Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Kotest). Experience with Golang is a plus.
