**Role: Associate Director - Financial Institutions - Brazil**
Fitch's Financial Institutions group is responsible for the credit ratings of issuers and debt related to (bank and non-bank) financial institutions.
Reporting Structure.
Location: The position is based in Sao Paulo. Some domestic and international travel required.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Read, analyze and interpret complex documents;
- Performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors, detailed financial modeling;
- Conducting in-depth onsite meetings with the senior management of the institutions covered;
- Present companies to credit rating committee; communicate results to issuer's management;
- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints;
- Effectively interact with sophisticated investors, sell-side analysts and media;
- Make effective, persuasive speeches and presentations in public forums;
- Write special reports, credit analysis and articles using original techniques or style;
- Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively analytical opinion both orally and written to internal and external audiences.
**Job requirements include**:
- Solid professional background with evidence strong credit skills;
- Knowledge of the banking industry, preferably of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay or other Latin American country;
- Good presentation skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills;
- Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point;
- Position requires 20% travel;
- English and Portuguese fluency;
- Strong English writing skills;
- Working knowledge of Spanish: ability to participate in meetings conducted in Spanish and understanding of legal documents.
