About Us We're building AI employees, not copilots or assistants, but autonomous teammates. Our first AI employee, Ava, finds and researches leads, writes emails in customers' tone of voice, runs outbound sequences, self-optimizes, and manages email deliverability infrastructure. She learns, adapts, and improves over time, like a human would. Our team members use our platform as their primary working tool, replacing a sprawling stack of sales tools, and have Artisans working alongside them. We've made significant progress with Ava 2.0, pushing the boundaries of what an AI employee can do. Your Mission You'll design, build, and scale the backend that powers AI employees while following our principles: We prioritize velocity; delays kill growth Ship high-quality work, have strong opinions, and speak up if you disagree Prioritize customer needs, document processes, and leverage AI wherever possible Communicate clearly, provide candid feedback, and be concise Avoid meetings without added value; presence does not equal productivity Strive for a positive attitude and make others feel appreciated What You Bring 6+ years of experience in high-growth environments, preferably early-stage or Series B Experience building scalable data-intensive services with modern APIs and robust infrastructure Proficiency with AWS and GitHub Actions Deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability, performance, and database systems (SQL + NoSQL) Experience with modern stacks - TypeScript/Node preferred, but equivalent backend stacks are welcome Demonstrated ownership - leading parts of systems independently and shipping with impact Excellent communication skills, clarity in articulating architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders What Makes This Role Stand Out Stay relevant: Our technology will help you learn how to not be replaced by an AI Ownership and autonomy: You'll be given trust, and expected excellence Culture: Have a chat with our teammates, each and everyone has a clear reason about why they love it Benefits This role offers a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing company at the forefront of AI innovation.
