As we expand our portfolio of mobile applications and solutions, we're looking for a dedicated Mobile QA Specialist to ensure our iOS and Android products meet the highest standards of quality and user experience. Position Overview As a Mobile QA Specialist, you'll lead QA efforts for our mobile applications and other groundbreaking products at Islands. You'll be the voice of quality for both internal and client projects with a specific focus on iOS and Android platforms. You'll also get to consult with top-tier clients who are eager to tap into your expertise and build mobile QA systems that rival the best in the industry. 70% driving QA for mobile projects, working in daily sprints, manual and automated testing, and leading release management for iOS and Android applications. 30% consulting clients, helping them set mobile QA best practices, advising them on how to implement effective mobile testing strategies, and making mobile QA their competitive edge. Responsibilities Be the voice of Mobile QA, both internally and externally to our clients. Lead daily sprints, and collaborate with mobile engineering teams to ensure smooth, high-quality deliveries. Develop automated testing strategies for mobile applications to revolutionize QA processes over time. Own the QA process for iOS and Android applications from conception to release. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications. Perform thorough testing on multiple mobile devices, OS versions, and form factors. Schedule weekly meetings to advise clients on best practices for mobile QA inside their organizations. Participate in daily product sprints, managing manual and automated mobile testing, and driving app store releases. Continuously improve mobile QA tools, methodologies, and practices to stay ahead of the curve. Qualifications 4+ years of Mobile QA experience in fast-moving environments (startups or scale-ups preferred). Deep understanding of iOS and Android platforms, including different OS versions, device fragmentation, and platform-specific behaviors. Experience with mobile automation frameworks like XCTest, Appium, Detox, or Espresso. Experience or solid knowledge of API testing and web automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, and Jest. Familiarity with React Native, Swift, Kotlin, CI/CD pipelines —you'll need to know these technologies to lead Mobile QA at Islands. Strong understanding of mobile app performance metrics and optimization techniques. Experience with app store submission processes for both iOS and Android platforms. Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset. Excellent communication skills—you'll be leading client conversations on mobile QA best practices. Why Islands?
