As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the testing of a particular ticket, whether a story, bug, or otherwise, from beginning to end of the Testing Life Cycle. You will work directly with all members of our Agile Engineering team. The testing encompasses various Software QA practices, from manual, functional, end-to-end, stress, regression, smoke, etc. You will participate in daily stand-ups, various Engineering team meetings, and QA team meetings.
**Responsibilities**
You will be a part of an Agile/Scrum-based development process that will:
- Work on testing user stories or bug tickets with mínimal supervision
- Work closely with Developers to understand the feature or bug being tested
- Document test cases and test results
- Communicate test status and results to the Engineering team
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues reported by the Customer Success team
- Interact with various departments within the company such as DevOps, Product, and Design teams
- Participate in requirements analysis and provide input on testing procedures
- Perform regression testing in the Staging Environment
**Skills**
- Solid knowledge of SQL and executing queries
- JIRA and Confluence
- Jenkins for code delivery
- Open search for log tracing
- Knowledge of REST API using Swagger and/or Postman
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as black box, white box, smoke, and unit testing
- Eagerness to learn new skills quickly and adopt effective testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test documents
- Some knowledge of the AWS platform
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor of Science degree in an IT or business field, preferably Computer Science or Computer Information Systems; or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of direct Software QA Analysis or Engineering experience
