Timken Gears and Services Philadelphia Gear brand is seeking a Mechanical Assembler responsible for the assembly, testing, disassembly, inspection, and painting of enclosed drive gearboxes.

• Perform labor activities in the assembly & test departments.
• Disassemble and inspect gearboxes.
• Assemble and test gearboxes.
• Perform deburring, cleaning, and painting.
• Eliminate waste and reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve assembly/test issues.
• Provide feedback to Engineering on discrepancies and errors.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
• Foster teamwork and positive relationships among peers.

Applicants must be able to walk, stand, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, see, hear, and use hands. Must have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience are required. US citizenship or legal authorization to work in an ITAR environment is necessary.

Pay Range: $30 - $35 per hour.
