Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage GitHub Advanced Security implementations while optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Perform penetration testing assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical remediation steps
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy that includes both cryptographic evaluations and penetration testing
- Conduct blockchain security assessments, including smart contract audits and node security analysis
- Automate security checks and integrate them seamlessly into development workflows
- Conduct regular security audits and assist with incident response efforts
- Translate customer needs into actionable security requirements while providing training and guidance to developers
- Senior-level professional with over five years in software development, DevSecOps, or security engineering
- Experience in penetration testing methods (reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, maintaining access)
- Familiar with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, and GitHub Advanced Security; able to evaluate risks and overall security posture
- Knowledge of cryptography (symmetric and asymmetric encryption) and protocols such as Diffie-Hellman, El Gamal, 3DES, and AES; applied to secure communications and data storage
- Master’s degree in Cryptography, Cybersecurity, or related field; hands-on experience with blockchain penetration testing
- Experience with SIEM systems (e.g., IBM QRadar, Splunk) and securing cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) with relevant security services
- Proficient in Python, shell scripting, or Perl; understanding of LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, and VLANs; hands-on network monitoring and incident response experience
- Certifications: GitHub Advanced Security Certification, CISSP, CEH, OSCP
- Experience administering GitHub organizations and managing permissions
- Implementing security policies at scale
- Mentoring and coaching clients and Modus teammates from home
- Translating customer needs into actionable requirements
- Exploring new tech and continuous learning in a fast-evolving field
- Sharing knowledge and engaging with the community
- Some overlap with EST hours daily is expected
- Reliable high-speed internet is a must
