What will you do?

Build, develop, and lead a high-performing platform engineering team;Define and execute the platform strategy, aligning it with business goals;Establish and oversee comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product quality;Implement and improve DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes;Build and maintain a resilient infrastructure through SRE principles and practices;Design, implement, and manage the underlying infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage;Optimize database performance and efficiency through fine-tuning and performance analysis.Implement cost optimization strategies and monitor spending in AWS and other services to maximize ROI;Work closely with developers to ensure alignment and efficient collaboration;Lead incident response and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence;Keep management teams apprised of progress, challenges, growth planning, and incidents regularly.

What do you need to know?

Bachelor's degree in Computing or related;Experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or similar role;Background in software engineering, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and infrastructure;Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript;Deep understanding of testing, quality assurance, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure management.Experience with database administration and optimization;Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;Strong leadership and communication abilities;Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively;Experience in cost management and optimization for cloud environments;Experience in interviewing and hiring;Fluent in English.

Great if you have

Experience or certifications in AWS;Previous experience with serverless applications;Intermediate Spanish.
