AP- AR/AP Collection Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized AR/AP Collection Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be essential in managing and maintaining our accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring that we have an accurate and timely revenue stream while also ensuring the payment obligations are met effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software. You will be responsible for coordinating with various departments to reconcile accounts, follow up on outstanding invoices, and manage collections in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the accounts receivable process including invoicing and collections.
2. Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate follow-up communications.
3. Reconcile payment discrepancies and investigate unresolved issues effectively.
4. Prepare and maintain a report of accounts receivable aging and collection activities.
5. Coordinate with sales and customer service departments to resolve customer disputes and payment issues.
6. Ensure timely payments of invoices and record all transactions in the accounting software.
7. Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding accounts.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
2. Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
3. Strong understanding of financial principles and legal regulations surrounding collections.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
