Job Summary

The Medi-Spa Physician administers cosmetic medical procedures to onboard guests. They must possess the clinical knowledge to administer these procedures safely and effectively, and be able to explain all aspects of the products and services to guests. They must have excellent communication skills and provide aesthetic medical solutions to address guest concerns. The Medi-Spa Physicians work with The Medi-Spa Sales Consultant, who assists with sales, marketing, and promotions and can translate when necessary. The Physician should gain knowledge of spa services and products to cross-promote them to guests. The Physician will review and give final approval for all service/treatment plans organized and booked by the Medi-Spa Sales Consultant.

  • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision and actively promote services to guests
  • Work closely with the Medi–Spa Sales Consultant
  • Must have enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to give effective presentations related to medi-spa services
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must be a team player
Responsibilities
  • Be on time for work, prompt for each appointment
  • Provide consistent professional medi-spa services and treatments in accordance with OneSpaWorld’s medi-spa protocols
  • Conduct patient follow-up as required
  • Be flexible with scheduling to support the needs of the spa and guests
  • Care for equipment and use proper amounts of products to assist with cost control
  • Follow service pricing policy set by OneSpaWorld
  • Before all services, complete the guest Medical Record; store the record for 2 years (3 years on Cunard and P&O)
  • Cross-promote other spa services
  • Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by ship and company policy
  • Clean and restock the medi-spa treatment room as required
  • Manage medical product and supply inventory
  • Communicate any staff or guest issues to management
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally
  • Provide accurate, appropriate, and timely responses to guest requests
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment
  • Attend and support training and staff meetings for the spa
  • Participate in embarkation day and sea day team meetings
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as directed by management
  • Train new spa staff in medi-spa services and cross-promotion skills
  • Follow Medi-Spa Operations Policies
  • Email daily report and inventory with end-of-cruise reports
General guidelines and safety
  • Doctors must review guest consultation information with guests prior to the service
  • All guests receiving treatments must complete required consent forms; doctors must complete a medical record for each guest
  • At conclusion of treatment, review Aftercare Instructions with the guest and provide a copy
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with scheduling at the front desk
  • Keep treatment rooms clean and ready for the next guest, maintaining proper ambience
  • Dispose of open unused needles safely and manage biohazard materials according to policy
  • Sterilize table and countertops; complete inventory control forms and email daily revenue reports as required
Operations and policies
  • Adhere to GPS safety guidelines and self-screening procedures
  • Adhere to staff and guest distancing, hygiene, hand washing, PPE usage, and sanitation procedures
  • Arrive 5–10 minutes prior to shift; follow sanitation, storage, and handling requirements for all products and equipment
  • Understand and follow sanitation logs and product handling procedures
  • Code and coordinate with management on booking policies; medi-spa physicians may be booked only for services they are qualified to perform
