As the Supply & Inventory Planner LATAM - Pet Food, you will play a pivotal role in the success of Project Ornellaia within dsm-firmenich. This project aims to integrate and transform the Pet Food business into our dsm-firmenich TTH operations. The Lead Specialist Planning for Pet Food, based in LATAM, will be instrumental in driving the success of this initiative in the region.
The position will require you to act as the key contact responsible for overseeing production scheduling with our partner and managing replenishment to local warehouses to ensure timely and full customer order fulfillment. Monitoring supplier performance and escalating issues when necessary, will be critical. A key challenge will be collaborating with overseas stakeholders to ensure efficient replenishment to the LATAM region.

Your key responsibilities
- Ensure that all processes related to 0-2 months planning and inventory management are executed in alignment with the S&OP at our partner, following the TTH-IS IBP cycle, and supporting overall business goals and objectives.
- Take responsibility for identifying and translating constraints, risks, and escalations (such as production delays, machine breakdowns, etc.) into practical solutions. Collaborate with the planning department of our partner to develop scenarios, communicate updates to relevant stakeholders, and adjust schedules based on agreed priorities.
- Work closely with Procurement to monitor partner performance and address potential escalations.
- Manage daily order allocations, providing timely and accurate feedback on product availability to manage Customer Service and meet customer expectations.
- Assist our partner in actively managing inventory levels and quality (including defective stock) to balance supply reliability with financial impact. Define appropriate inventory levels for finished goods and raw materials in line with business and supply chain strategies.
- Oversee the Pet Food replenishment flow from the site to local warehouses and other regions (straights).
- Own and manage various types of master data (e.g., Purchasing, Material Master, Routing, MRP settings, Safety Stock settings) in supporting systems.
- Foster strong collaboration with production partners, sales, planning, and customer service teams.
- Actively participate in S&OP meetings.
You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- A solution-oriented approach, with the ability to connect with others and think creatively to solve challenges.
- Previous experience in production planning or other supply chain-related roles.
- Familiarity with planning software, such as SAP and OMP, is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with overseas stakeholders.
