Lead / Senior Full Stack Engineer

As a Lead / Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of our tech stack and the ability to create effective solutions that align with business requirements. You will play a crucial role in advancing our technology stack and mentoring junior team members.
Our ideal candidate is as excited about pushing their own development as they are about contributing to the team's success. You will join a group of passionate software engineers dedicated to continuous learning and excellence in a supportive environment.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:
- Leading the development of robust web applications using TypeScript , React , Next.js , and SQL (ideally PostgreSQL).
- Designing and implementing scalable and efficient API routes and backend services.
- Writing and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests with Cypress and Postman .
- Utilizing advanced AWS services, including Lambda functions and Step Functions .
- Working with message brokers and event-driven architectures using EventBridge and SQS .
- Managing and optimising databases, with a focus on Neo4j graph databases.
- Implementing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform .
- Containerising applications using Docker and orchestrating deployments.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
- Mentoring junior developers and promoting best practices within the team.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
- Minimum of 6 years in web development with a strong track record in senior roles.
- Expertise in TypeScript , React , Next.js , and SQL databases.
- Proficient in building and integrating complex API routes.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, including Lambda functions , Step Functions , EventBridge , and SQS .
- Strong experience with Neo4j
- Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker .
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, specifically Terraform .
- Advanced skills in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using Cypress and Postman .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
- Experience with other message brokers or event-driven systems.
- Additional expertise in other AWS services.
- Familiarity with other infrastructure as code tools.
