Mining Technology Onboard Implementation Specialist

Overview As a key player in the Cat MineStar implementation team, you’ll dive into the world of cutting‑edge MineStar technology products. From Command for Hauling (autonomy) to Fleet, Terrain, Health, Reporting, and more, you’ll be part of a team that’s revolutionizing the mining industry Define mining site infrastructure, set up servers, install and configure MineStar products, and perform system upgrades with each new release. For this role, the primary focus will be to support the deployment and commissioning of the onboard hardware and software. Embark on‑site visits to mining locations, ensuring seamless implementation and upgrades. Drive customer recognition of the incredible value of our product features, improved processes, and change management. Enhance your product‑positioning knowledge for Caterpillar and provide invaluable feedback on product features and benefits. Identify and document job/application profiles based on real‑world observations while working directly with customers. Elevate the industry’s perception of Caterpillar and actively participate in related mining associations. Deploy and commission onboard hardware and software for mining sites Perform system upgrades with each new release Conduct on‑site visits to mining locations to ensure seamless implementation and upgrades Provide customer recognition of product value and improved processes Gather and document job/application profiles in real‑world settings Represent Caterpillar in mining associations and elevate industry perception Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT or Engineering Pre‑Advanced English Experience in engineering, mining technology, IT or previous knowledge in Caterpillar MineStar or other Fleet Management System Technologies (Onboard) Understanding of problem‑solving techniques and ability to apply them to diverse situations Effective communication skills and ability to transmit, receive, and interpret information accurately Basic knowledge of consulting techniques and ability to provide technical or business guidance to clients Preferred Qualifications Pre Advanced Spanish Previous Fleet Management System knowledge Knowledge of relevant programming languages, computing hardware, software, infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools Knowledge of mining technology Additional Information This position may require 30–50% travel. The role requires onsite work five days a week. Relocation is available for this position.
