Lead Creative Production We are seeking an experienced Visual Design Director to manage a team of designers creating visual assets for local service businesses. You will oversee the design process, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their taste and ability to create designs that convert. Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of designers to create high-quality visual assets for local service businesses. Oversight of daily design work to ensure excellence in quality and aesthetic appeal. Execute design tasks when needed, such as logo creation, layout fixes, and visual hierarchy improvements. Catch weak logos, amateur photo crops, and layout issues that undermine credibility. Provide specific feedback on real work to elevate team members' taste and skills. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in visual design with a portfolio demonstrating genuine taste and an eye for conversion. 2+ years of leading or managing a design team, holding people to standards, giving hard feedback, and developing talent. Hands-on execution skills: able to create and refine logos, fix layouts, and improve visual hierarchy. Production experience in agencies, e-commerce, or high-output teams where volume mattered. Quality obsession: rejects work that's 'fine' because fine doesn't win. Bonus Points: Background in advertising, branding agencies, or e-commerce design. Experience with WordPress page builders (Elementor, WP Bakery, Divi, Gutenberg) or willingness to learn fast. Understanding of conversion principles: what builds trust, drives action. Experience building or maintaining design systems. Knowledge of SEO basics and how design choices impact performance.
