Project Sales Director, EPP

The preferred location is Vaasa, Finland, but all Wärtsilä locations in the Americas can be considered. Hybrid remote work is possible.
Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Project Sales Director you will be accountable for leading the EPC and complex EEQ sales for new built engine power plant opportunities. You will have a leading role to ensure we have predictable and profitable sales, enabling successful project execution. You’ll be part of the Management Team of EPP Sales Management within the Engine Power Plant Business Unit, reporting to the Director, EPP Sales Management.
Responsibilities- Lead the EPC and complex EEQ sales for new built engine power plant opportunities
- Ensure Wärtsilä contracting policies are followed and proper contract terms are achieved
- Lead the contract negotiations and contracting process
- Prepare winning sales negotiation strategy
- Aim for building long-term service agreements
- Manage and maintain customer relationships
- Ensure sales project is properly transferred to project execution
- Fluent in English and Spanish; proficiency at a native or mother-tongue level is required
- Seniority as a sales leader with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong track record of negotiating complex EPC sales energy projects
- Contractual and risk management understanding
- Visible influencing and communications skills, especially with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel; travel may account for approximately 40% of working time
- Leads by example and enables collaboration across organisations
- Broad understanding of Engine Power Plants business, solutions and future market outlook
- Commercial and customer mindset with a structured approach
- Outstanding team player and excellent coaching skills
- Drives results with planning, change and execution
- Inspires action towards future goals
