Meta seeks a highly motivated team player to serve as Associate General Counsel, Regulatory within our FinTech Legal team in LATAM. This full-time position will be based in São Paulo, Brazil and will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams across the company. The role requires knowledge of payment and financial regulatory landscape in the LATAM region, ability to work with financial regulators around the world, and influence Meta Platform's global regulatory strategy.
**Associate General Counsel, Regulatory Responsibilities**:
- Advise on country-specific regulatory requirements, including strategic and legal advice on licensing for new products or features in LATAM
- Support Meta FinTech Policy team on strategic engagements
- Monitor new laws and regulations, including advising business on their potential impact to product development
- Support regulatory examinations & audit
- Advise on country-specific regulatory requirements, including strategic and legal advice on licensing for new products or features in LATAM
- Manage outside counsel to receive advice regarding the licensing regimes across LATAM**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Law degree and practicing certificate (or equivalent) in a common law jurisdiction
- 7+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm, government, and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies working on payments laws
- The individual will directly influence and collaborate with legal peers and cross functional partners to drive the development and implementation of the company's regulatory strategy

- Experience working cross-functionally to help design and oversee compliance and risk management programs
