Robotics Specialist

Robotics Specialist Be among the first 25 applicants for this contract role at MECHLINK. This is a contract role for a Roboticist. The Roboticist will be responsible for the programming, testing, and commissioning of robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with robotic programming platforms, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in fast‑paced project environments. Key Responsibilities Program, test, and commission industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, UR, etc.). Develop robotic paths for applications such as welding, material handling, assembly, painting, or machine tending. Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, conveyors, and end‑of‑arm tooling. Perform on‑site debugging, system optimization, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with safety standards during robot integration and operation. Provide technical support during system installation and startup at customer sites. Create and maintain documentation for robot programs and system configurations. Qualifications 2+ years of hands‑on experience programming and commissioning robotic systems. Familiarity with at least one major robot platform (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, Universal Robots, etc.). Knowledge of robotic path planning, calibration, and cycle‑time optimization. Experience integrating robots with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and machine vision systems. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. Experience with ESTUN and TURIN robots is a plus.
