Role Summary As a Field Service Technician (FST) at Flowserve, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our customers across diverse industries — including oil & gas, petrochemical, steel, mining, and water treatment. You’ll install, commission, maintain, and repair pumps, mechanical seals, and other Flowserve equipment while providing on-site technical expertise and real-time problem-solving. Serving as the face of Flowserve in the field, the FST ensures that our products perform at their best while strengthening customer relationships through reliability, professionalism, and superior service. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site service calls and deliver prompt technical support in response to customer needs. Diagnose mechanical problems, determine root causes, and implement timely corrective actions. Work hands-on with customer personnel, providing direction and technical leadership as needed. Supervise the complete repair cycle, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating equipment. Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up, ensuring successful operation within project schedules. Monitor and evaluate equipment performance, recommending repairs, upgrades, or replacements where appropriate. Train and guide customers on best practices for operating and maintaining Flowserve equipment. Collaborate closely with Flowserve support teams — including repair centers, customer service, and engineering — to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain accurate service records, including daily reports, job documentation, time and material tracking, and cost summaries. Adhere to Flowserve safety standards and promote a strong safety culture in all work environments. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Mechanical Technician certification with an active CFT (Professional Technical Registration). Proven experience as a Field Service Technician in industrial or refinery environments. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment — including pumps, valves, seals, and actuators. Skilled in installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and seal systems. Proficiency in mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustment (backlash and interference). Solid understanding of metrology and use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and dimensional drawings accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Intermediate English proficiency. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, and work overtime as required. Preferred Qualifications Advanced English and/or intermediate Spanish. #J-18808-Ljbffr
