**What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure**:
This position will give you a chance to work with cutting-edge technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Terraform, and more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for cloud services using AWS and industry best practices
- Ensure the APIs are secure, scalable, performant, well-documented, and adhere to best practices
- Document the APIs using tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI
- Collaborate with other software architects and product managers to understand the requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the APIs or the cloud infrastructure
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in AWS and cloud computing, continuously improving software design and development processes
- Define, implement, deploy, and maintain development, staging & production environments for cloud-based AWS micro-services architecture
- Contribute to a healthy and collaborative team spirit within the large, interdisciplinary product teams based in United States and Switzerland as well as other Siemens Building Products locations worldwide.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.- 8+ years of experience in software design and development
- 5+ years of experience in working with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Terraform, etc.
- Strong programming skills with experience in Node.js, Python, Golang, and Angular
- Extensive understanding in SOA architectures
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using AWS or other platforms
- Experience in using tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI for API documentation
- Experience in using tools such as Git, Gitlab CI/CD or Jenkins for version control and continuous integration
- Experience in using tools such as Postman or Curl for API testing
- Excellent communication and moderation skills in English, with the ability to produce high quality written documentation
- A solution-oriented and independent working style, with the ability to mentor and guide other team members
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Leadership and management experience.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
