Requisition ID: 69564 The team you will be a part of We are seeking a qualified candidate for the Head of Procurement for the Latin America region and business unit to join our Global Strategic Sourcing organization. The Head of Procurement will lead all sourcing activities for the region, including direct and indirect procurement, and will have a dotted line responsibility for Finish Product Sourcing (FPS). This individual will lead a team of sourcing and procurement professionals across Latin America and will be the primary supply management partner for the region's business leader. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategy, defining common processes, and leading the procurement organization to support the company’s business model and financial goals. This Role In Summary The Head of Procurement will be directly responsible for material deflation, productivity creation, and supplier development and performance, including quality and delivery. The role involves both sourcing and supply base management for components that support existing products and new product introductions in the Latin American region. A key requirement is the ability to drive change and partner with regional leadership to elevate sourcing and procurement results. You will be instrumental in evolving our procurement capabilities, providing thought leadership to adapt new best practices, and maximizing the overall effectiveness of our supply chain in the region. Your Responsibilities Will Include Create and execute a procurement strategy for the Latin America region to ensure adequate, timely, and cost-competitive materials and supplies while delivering operational excellence. Manage a team of direct and indirect reports in Latin America, with responsibilities including planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; and continually improving employee engagement. Actively develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, capture insights from suppliers to accelerate innovation while managing risk and compliance. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key executive decision-makers, developing a deep understanding of stakeholder needs and ensuring a service level in line with strategic goals. Serve as a subject matter expert for executive management regarding profitability improvement programs, financial and operational metrics, and core process improvement. Ensure continuous procurement improvement efforts are ongoing throughout the organization. Actively prospect and leverage potential operational effectiveness opportunities, seeking regional opportunities that will accelerate cost improvements. Recommend and ensure the effective management of strategic partnerships. Evaluate procurement workload, quality, and budget metrics through regular analysis of data and stakeholder feedback. Initiate action plans to improve operational efficiencies and quality. Support teams or managers through complex negotiations across direct and indirect categories. Execute projects in adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards while monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed. Minimum Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field is required. Minimum 15 years of experience in Supply Management, Sourcing, Procurement and leading projects. Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role managing complex teams and supporting cross-functional partnerships. Strong track record of developing and implementing a strategic plan that results in significant financial and operational benefits for the organization. Specific experience and thought leadership in maximizing productivity through innovative and progressive strategic sourcing methods. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or similar methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement. Proven results in managing, developing, and retaining high-performing teams. Experience in the Brazilian market and working in complex global companies. Preferred Skills And Experiences MBA Fluency in Portuguese and English. Change Management experience. Experience leading enterprise, global procurement projects and initiatives.
