Amazon's LATAM Software Development Engineering organization is growing and we're looking for Software Engineer(s) with technical coding/programming academic background who thrive on learning from complex problems and are able to face challenges while working with multiple technical teams at Amazon.The selected candidate(s) is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including but not limited to: design, development, documentation, testing and operations. They will be an integral part of a team that encourages experimentation and innovation on behalf of our customers. This role will directly participate in building and correcting software in partnership with other developers within the organization.Within this role, selected candidate(s) will not only code, but also drive the direction of the software architecture, and team best practices.Responsibilities Alongside their technical team, selected candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by thousands of Amazon customers, and own end-to-end customer experience of the services and features that are built. As an Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in the following: Work with the team to help drive business decisions. Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimizations, cost, and security. Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed. Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems. Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. Intermediate/advanced English proficiency B2+ or higher. Preferred Qualifications Previous Software Development internship experience.
