Overview

Payment Trust team at Payments Latin America is looking for a strong analytical product leader to lead end-to-end abuse prevention and risk management initiatives. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance payment security while maintaining a seamless customer experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that protect millions of customers and merchants across global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Define, own, and manage programs to curb financial leakage resulting from policy violations on Amazon payments products and use cases in Latin America
  • Deep-dive and analyze key business performance metrics, identify gaps, and define measurement frameworks to support actionable insights
  • Work with operations, analytics, category, and product owners to drive learnings on new Modus Operandi being used by bad actors.
  • Socialize the learnings and influence product roadmaps to systematically reduce wastage rarising from potential abuse
  • Lead automation initiatives to drive efficiency in investigation and reporting
  • Partner with machine learning teams to automate payment abuse detection and prevention solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to strengthen abuse prevention capabilities
  • Drive business reviews with leadership and partner teams to audit ongoing performance against key metrics and program goals
A day in the life

A typical day for this role involves juggling multiple responsibilities focused on protecting the company from financial fraud while maintaining smooth customer experiences. Throughout the day, they lead team meetings, collaborate with data scientists on fraud detection algorithms, coordinate with payment partners, and make critical decisions on complex fraud cases. They spend significant time analyzing fraud trends, updating prevention rules, and fine-tuning risk models. The role requires constant communication with various stakeholders, including legal teams, customer service, and executives. They must stay ahead of emerging fraud tactics while ensuring their prevention measures don\'t create unnecessary friction for legitimate customers.

We are a diverse group of problem solvers who combine analytical thinking with customer obsession to build innovative security solutions. Our team works across multiple geographies and collaborates with various Amazon teams to protect millions of transactions daily.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Program or project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master\'s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Driving process improvements experience
