Engineer Specialist

We are looking for a Engineer Specialist – Technology & Innovation team (R&D)

Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the Technology & Innovation Coordinator (R&D), you will be responsible for carrying out the activities of analysis, planning, research, studies, preparation and development of new processes, changing product design in production lines and improving existing ones, based on customer needs, preparing estimates of costs and deadlines, conducting various tests based on international guidelines, techniques and technologies pre-established by the Matrix, aiming to provide the company with competitive products in costs, quality, safety, health, and the environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Plan, study, research and develop new processes and innovation systems for improvement.
• Monitor prototypes in the factory, supporting the Design R&D team.
• Conduct technical and technological prospecting, identifying needs for improvements in products/processes.
• Conduct evaluations of projects and products, issuing reports and technical opinions.
• Develop projects for modifications of products and processes.
• Monitor the construction, tests and analysis of results.
• Lead research projects and feasibility analyses of products.
• Participate in activities of qualification, certification and homologation of new machines or production processes.
• Search and implement cost-effective and saving opportunities in all possible products.
• Provide technical support to the factory in industrialization phases.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with the following skills:

• Experience in energy cable manufacturing (Telecom will be a differential).
• Proven experience with R&D/manufacturing.
• Problem-solving and goal orientation - pragmatics for solving engineering problems.
• Flexibility and ability to manage changes during the project or task.
• Advanced English, written and spoken (Spanish will be a differential).
• Advanced Excel (macros and VBA will be a differential).
