RYZ Labs is looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our client's teams, from the sports merchandising industry
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Sales & Finance Engineering team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications specific to the company's unique finance needs. You'll help build and evolve a service-oriented, event-driven ecosystem of applications that position their finance and leadership teams to make the most informed decisions about the products they are releasing to their fans.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building web applications with Phoenix or similar frameworks
- Interest or experience in CQRS and evented systems
- Strong proficiency in Elixir programming language and functional programming concepts
- Familiarity with database systems and PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of web application security best practices
- Experience with Git and working with a team (e.g. Pull Requests)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience integrating legacy systems with modern platforms
- A portfolio or examples of previous Elixir LiveView projects
- Experience with LiveView
- Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to team standards
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product teams to ensure their code meets all customer requirements
- Breaking down larger projects into smaller tasks for yourself and your team
- Optimizing application performance and troubleshooting issues
- Diagnosing and fixing bugs in their services
