We are looking to hire Mortgage Occupancy Field Inspectors to perform residential property inspections on behalf of mortgage lenders. Job Title:Mortgage Occupancy Field Inspector
County Coverage:Hale, Castro, Deaf Smith, Swisher, Parmer
Preferred Experience:- Aspen Grove ABC#
- Have used at least one of the industry standard smartphone apps: InspectorADE (what GIS uses), EZ Inspections, or SafeView inspect
- Currently conducting occupancy inspections (or have in the past)
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on the properties they have financial interest in. The lender contracts with GIS to have inspectors go out to verify the property occupancy, report general property conditions, deliver letters/postings, conduct vacant interior walkthroughs, or provide insurance repair progress reports. The majority of our inspections are basic exteriors, though some require contact by door knock or letter delivery. Additionally, some inspections necessitate interior access to secured/vacant properties and appointment-based insurance loss inspections.
Job Responsibilities:- Spend extended periods of time driving
- Efficiently manage time to route and complete inspections with an estimated 3-5 day turnaround time in your agreed territory
- Determine occupancy based on industry standards and report general property conditions
- Use a mobile app to obtain all photographs, comments, and form documentation
- Maintain consistent communication with your inspection manager via text, email, and phone
- Valid US driver's license
- Aspen Grove ABC #
- Computer with an internet connection
- Fuel-efficient vehicle
- iPhone or Android
- Printer
- Office supplies (paper, envelopes, ink)
- HUD keys (set of 11)
- Availability during daylight hours
- Set rate per inspection is estimated at $15-$20+ per hour based on the number of inspections performed
- **This will vary depending on location, volume, and efficiency.**
- Inspections are paid out every Friday by direct deposit for work completed the prior week
- Depending on the territory, you should expect to work 5-15+ hours per week
- The job is a 1099 Independent Contractor position
