Regulatory Advisor

**Requirements**:- Identify and maintain up to date awareness of regulatory environment changes, trends and developments that impact business areas, and advise staff as to how this may impact their current activities (a weekly mailing is produce and distribute to all stakeholders)- Advise on the impact of new compliance related internal and external rules and ensure that local policies and procedures are in line and reflect local laws and regulations- Daily monitoring of judicial court orders received from Central Bank and Local SEC to identify requests to the bank and review of the response letters to attend the court orders- Provide Monthly regulatory/compliance induction and refresher training- Elaboration of semiannual and annual regulatory reports- Assess, track maintain and monitor regulatory certification to ensure business compliance with local regulatory and licensing requirements- Perform quality assurance of marketing materials- Perform quarterly suitability tests to ensure business adherence to local regulatory requirements and market practices and produce regulatory reports semiannually- Assess the conformity of internal policies and procedures, systems and controls with relevant regulatory obligations and DB Group standards- Implement any governance related controls, processes and procedures as directed by the compliance group- Coordinate, review and update existing compliance policies and procedures- Responsible for providing information to the local Operating Council which includes regulatory monitoring, issues, remediation and implementation of action plans and training and certification KPI’s- Provide regulatory compliance advice on local product committee- Assist the business in implementing and documenting various supervisory/control mechanisms- Manage investigations into wrongdoing and anything that violates regulatory/legal requirements- Respond to regulatory inquiries and contribute to internal and external audits and inspections and interact with regulators- Identify Compliance deliverables produced in response to Regulatory and Group Audit findings- Monitor the implementation of recommendations made by Regulators, Group Audit and by the independent audit- Conduct compliance risk assessments of the business to ensure effective control framework- Determine when enhancements and/or remedial actions are required to address identified gaps or compliance risks and assist stakeholders in devising such enhancements/ remedial actions- Work with stakeholders to ensure that all remedial actions are completed in a timely manner- Support the programme management of the delivery of large scale regulatory programs to ensure DB is prepared and compliant with all upcoming regulatory obligations- Attend to external committees as Compliance representative (Brazilian Bankers’ Federation - FEBRABAN, Brazilian Association of International Banks - ABBI, Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association - ANBIMA) to be in line with common market practices, share and obtain specialized knowledge with other players from the market and participating in the debates and thematic working groups ensuring DB’s presence- Act as an integral part of the team regarding knowledge resources for all compliance-related matters- Ongoing development and administration of compliance training programs for all employees- Monitor compliance programs that have been put in place to ensure adequacy- Perform tests and maintain the Business Recovery Plan of the Compliance Department updated.Qualifications:- 10+ years Compliance/Legal/Regulatory background. Required experience as compliance officer, interacting with regulatory bodies and of conducting general regulatory matters- Academic background, graduation or post-graduation in administration, economics, law or related fields degrees recognized or accredited by the Ministry of Education- Excellent attention to details. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with strong follow-through- Aptitude in communicating with senior management with strong ability to influence and build consensus amongst stakeholder groups and individuals without having direct management authority- Proven ability to proactively solve problems, determine next steps and manage execution of projects from inception to completion- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal- Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.Our values define the working environment we strive to create - diverse, supportive and welcoming of different views.
