Software Engineering Manager | Florianópolis/SC at Stone

Hybrid work model: Florianópolis/SC. This role leads a software engineering team within the GenIA Core group, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists and Reliability Engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable and reliable solutions.

What We Do

We are Stone Tech, the technology arm formed by Stone Co. and the financial group. Our Generative AI team is focused on delivering the best AI experiences and services for clients and internal users, maintaining and evolving services used by the Generative AI platform and LLMs, and developing chat interfaces with performance, scalability and security in production.

What We Expect From You

Perfil de liderança, visão técnica e orientação a resultados , capable of guiding teams in dynamic, high-impact environments and driving delivery excellence and product evolution. You will lead and develop a software engineering team within the GenIA Core team, working alongside Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists and Reliability Engineers to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop people: management, coaching, mentoring and feedback with focus on learning and growth;
  • Ownership of team processes, agility, ceremonies and flow metrics;
  • Lead technical discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions and Agile ceremonies;
  • Implement engineering best practices;
  • Back-end development familiarity (APIs, cloud, messaging, observability, CI/CD, etc.);
  • Contribute to setting team, product and engineering goals;
  • Solution-oriented mindset and continuous improvement;
  • Lead, manage and develop distributed remote teams;
  • Strong written and verbal communication;
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists;
  • Results orientation;
  • Experience in hiring, interviewing and growing teams;
  • Experience with operations (24x7 services) and observability.
Nice to Have
  • Experience leading teams using Kanban;
  • Experience with data science and artificial intelligence.
