As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in driving an improved developer experience and automation-first approach for the adoption of public and hybrid cloud computing environments. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we aim to simplify and improve service consumption and operational management. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and enforcing CIS security standards for Windows and Linux operating systems using Chef or similar configuration management tools. Delivering new cloud services to the business while streamlining and improving service consumption and operational management. Leveraging Python REST APIs to develop "Zero" touch provisioning, patching, change, and decommissioning of VM, Kubernetes, PaaS database for lifecycle management of Hybrid Cloud resources. Developing REST APIs in Python using BDD methodology and implementing public cloud security guardrails. Partnering with application teams for proof of technology in public cloud computing environments. Building Hybrid Cloud infrastructure provisioning workflows leveraging continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD) running on Jenkins and/or other CI/CD tools. Partnering with application teams and driving resolution of sophisticated technical problems across infrastructure and application stacks. Designing, engineering, and implementing Infrastructure As Code with API-first and microservices-based approaches for public cloud services. Leveraging internal and external resources to develop, advance, and retain talent. Reviewing current processes and finding opportunities for automation and building common frameworks in agile manners that cultivate adoption of automation across all layers. Grooming Jira features and stories to improve reliability and reduce support incidents for global infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-agnostic infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management automation, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
