Visit our institutional page About the role We are looking for a talented person to join our amazing Internal Audit team, the third line of defense at Nubank. Our mission is to provide an independent and objective assessment of internal controls and risk management, leveraging technology, data, and challenging the status quo to perform tests and generate insights that not only aid in building robust controls but also provide a business advantage. In this role, you will lead governance and regulatory audits, with a deep dive into AML & KYC processes. This position will also involve handling requests from regulators, coordinating them within the Internal Audit team, and ensuring that quality responses are delivered on time. If you possess a strong understanding of corporate governance and regulations, enjoy challenges, and strive for continuous improvement in risk mitigation practices, Nubank is looking for someone like you You'll be responsible for Lead and execute end-to-end audit fieldwork with a focus on Governance & Regulatory (especially AML & KYC fieldworks). This includes guiding projects, planning audit scope, executing tests, and producing final audit reports in collaboration with the team. Engage with stakeholders from the first and second lines of defense to discuss audit findings and monitor the implementation of issues and action plans. Coordinate the collection of information, prepare, and review responses to regulatory inquiries sent to the Internal Audit. Proactively monitor key regulatory changes, especially regarding AML & KYC, providing timely updates and technical support to the Internal Audit team. Contribute to Internal Audit's strategic projects. Data collection and risk assessment to build the annual audit work plan. Apply data exploration and analysis techniques to identify unmitigated risks and/or evaluate the efficiency of implemented controls. We are looking for a person who has Solid background in internal or external audit, ideally within the financial services, payments, or fintech sector. Strong understanding of Brazil's regulatory environment, including familiarity with local regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank of Brazil and CVM. Strong understanding of KYC/AML/Fraud, as well as financial crime prevention. Experience in conducting risk assessments and control testing. Strong analytical skills and ability to perform in-depth analysis, particularly related to governance issues. Demonstrated willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the improvement of the team's technical skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders at various levels. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to constantly adapt and quickly learn new technologies and tools, including AI tools. Nice To Have: Certifications: Professional qualifications such as ACAMS or ICA. Data Skills: Familiarity with data analysis and querying tools (e.g., SQL, Databricks).
