Sr. Software Engineer, Mobile (LATAM) – Gridwise Gridwise is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join our Gig Worker App team. This role will primarily be responsible for owning and leading the technical design and implementation of new features for our gig Worker React Native mobile app. As a senior-level individual contributor you will also be responsible for promoting engineering best practices and working cross functionally to advise on project scope, complexity, and effort. What You’ll Do Work as part of a small team consisting of engineering, product, and design. Own the development of new app features and UI components from prototypes and wireframes. Leverage both React Native and native APIs for tight integration across Android and iOS platforms. Take initiative to improve and streamline development lifecycle processes and release cycles. Actively contribute and elevate team knowledge and skill sets in coding, tooling, and automation through documentation, demos, code review, and discussion. Implement software design patterns that maximize code reusability and efficiency. Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to plan, build, and deliver projects with a sense of urgency. Provide technical mentorship and constructive feedback to fellow engineers. Qualifications 6+ years of mobile engineering experience. 3+ years in a senior mobile engineering role. 3+ years of experience deploying mobile applications to production using React Native and TypeScript. In‑depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and frontend frameworks. Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state. Complete understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle for both iOS and Android. Demonstrated ability to make critical system‑level design decisions and deliver projects from start to finish. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining React Native automated testing frameworks and tools. Exceptional Candidates May Have Experience with modern mobile app release strategies such as OTA updates. Prior high‑growth startup experience. Experience in the mobility industry.
