Operations is at the heart of what we do, delivering hundreds of thousands of items each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world.Key job responsibilities- High dependability - able to manage a business that can operate 24/7 (including holidays) and commit the time required to get the job done;- Manage a team of Flow Managers and Leads, with responsibility of a large department within a time-critical and fast paced environment;- Stakeholder management;- Conduct daily analysis of quality and speed indicators, developing strategic action plans to mitigate risks that end in the best labor/capacity plan for the required outputs;- Drive operational excellence through benchmarking and best practice implementation;- Ability to grasp the operational concepts of Flow settings;- Excellent English and Portuguese communication skills (written and verbal);- Leverage ideas from Central Flow Leads to source and nurture creative improvement plans for the Central Flow and Fulfillment Operations and take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are being shared across all Fulfillment Centers;- Understand and teach detailed flow concepts related to flow operations in Amazon’s fulfillment centers;- Ability to advise and teach the basic flow standards to the new managers through communications and advise them on standard flow settings thus speeding the learning curves of new managers.About the teamThe Brazil Central Flow (BRCF) team plays a crucial role in optimizing workflow across fulfillment centers (FCs) through centralized and standardized execution planning, while still addressing the unique needs of individual FCs. Their primary focus is on enhancing FC execution performance, quality, and speed, while overseeing risk mitigation strategies and leveraging BIE reports for data-driven decision-making. By striking a balance between standardization and flexibility, they work tirelessly to exceed customer expectations and achieve optimal results across the entire fulfillment network.BRCF is part of ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System), the team responsible for Quality and Productivity of the Amazon Operations network.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Team and performance management experience;- Bachelor's degree;- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays;- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and problem-solving;- Advanced English and Portuguese (spoken and written);- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Masters Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field;- Experience or certification in continuous improvement, such as Lean or Six Sigma (Black Belt, etc.);- Specific Labor or Capacity Planning experience.
