Sap Fico Functional Consultant

OverviewThis is a remote position. Our client, a global fresh produce distributor, is looking for a SAP FICO Functional Consultant & Business Analyst, which involves acting as the crucial liaison between finance business stakeholders and the IT organization to design, configure, and optimize their SAP S / 4HANA FICO solutions to drive financial efficiency and reporting accuracy. This is a 6-month contractual position with likelihood of extension. Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English, and they must be willing to work EST hours Responsibilities Analyze, document, and validate complex business requirements from finance and accounting stakeholders. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and effective SAP FICO configurations. Configure, customize, and test SAP FICO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders. Lead and support integration efforts with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and CO-PA (Profitability Analysis). Manage and ensure seamless data flows between SAP FICO and peripheral systems like BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) and Esker for document automation. Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting, resolving system issues, and conducting root cause analysis. Facilitate end-user training and create comprehensive documentation for system processes and configurations. Collaborate with technical teams to specify requirements for development objects (e.g., reports, interfaces) and perform rigorous functional testing. Requirements 5+ years of proven experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant or Business Analyst in a full-life-cycle implementation or support environment. Deep hands-on configuration expertise within the SAP FICO module. Strong demonstrated experience with integration points between FICO and other SAP modules, specifically SD, MM, and CO-PA. Experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools, specifically SAP BPC. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users. Fluency in Spanish & English, both written and verbal. Portuguese language is a big plus. Ability to work in EST time zone. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the Agro-tech, Manufacturing, or Supply chain industries. Knowledge of the Esker platform for automated financial processes. Additional Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or related field. 12+ years of SAP FICO design, configuration, and support experience. Strong expertise in SAP General Ledger and its integration with other SAP modules. Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6 or S / 4HANA (S / 4HANA certification and SAP RISE experience preferred). Proficiency with tools such as BPC, Esker, COPA. Experience with European e-invoicing and tax reporting systems (SDI, SII, MyDATA) is a plus. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a global environment. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Language skills: Fluent in English & Spanish; Portuguese not required but is a plus. Ability to work EST hours required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
