Principal Backend Software Architect

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to play a key role in the development and implementation of scalable software solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals who possess strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL, with at least 5 years of experience in backend development. Experience in the healthcare sector or EHR platforms is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain innovative applications that drive business success and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize our EHR platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.
- Ensure the platform's compliance with industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols.
Beyond Technical Skills:
- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
- Stay abreast of new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.
- Participate in the agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Collaborate with the design team to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front-end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks.
