Senior Developer - SAP Datasphere Repository

We are looking for a senior developer to enhance the Repository backend microservice for model persistence and lifecycle management in SAP's Business Data Cloud, working with teams across Europe and China.

What You'll Do

SAP's Business Data Cloud is a strategic cloud solution that simplifies data access and governance for customers. The Repository team supports the modeling editors by providing a backend microservice for model persistence and lifecycle management. As a senior developer, you will:

  • Enhance the microservice in collaboration with Repository team members across Europe and China
  • Translate requirements into technical solutions and implement them with other developers, quality and security experts
  • Coordinate the project team until results are demonstrated to the wider Business Data Cloud engineering group
  • Contribute to overall service quality by resolving issues reported by customers and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze production defects and propose mitigations
What You Bring
  • Substantial experience in backend server development, preferably in a cloud environment with Node.js; experience with REST APIs and database management
  • Curious and quick learner who stays current with industry trends
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with effective communication and the ability to thrive in a multinational environment
  • Excellent English communication skills; comfortable collaborating internationally
  • Experience in Data Warehousing or Modeling / declarative programming is an added advantage
