Key System Administrator Position

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Key System Administrator to lead our Linux environments.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee installations, patching, migrations, and scripting (Shell & Perl) for maximum efficiency.
  • Investigate hardware/software issues across various platforms (Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX).
  • Optimize system performance, ensuring high availability.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with ITIL-based tools and monitoring systems.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Linux and Unix systems administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of filesystem, volume, and storage management.
  • Strong understanding of networking, clustering (PCS), and system hardening principles.
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS, backup tools (TSM, VEEAM), and storage suites (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi).
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Proficient English language skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Linux certification.
  • German language proficiency.
  • Experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, LDAP.
