Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for all hardware development projects, from concept through mass production, ensuring alignment with product requirements and business goals.

• Own the hardware architecture and detailed design for new products, including component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and bring-up.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including firmware, software, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing—to deliver robust, scalable hardware solutions.

• Lead design reviews, manage the hardware development schedule, and coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.

• Analyze and resolve hardware issues through rigorous debugging, testing, and root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

• Document hardware designs, development processes, and testing protocols in line with IBBX's quality and compliance standards.

• Drive innovation by researching, prototyping, and validating next-generation technologies, including new energy harvesting methods, sensor modalities, and low-power communication protocols.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in hardware development for embedded systems or electronic products, from initial concept through mass production.

• Proven experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and hardware bring-up (Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar tools).

• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, signal integrity, and EMC best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

• Experience interfacing with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, including working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.

• Familiarity with DFM/DFT, regulatory certification (FCC, CE), and production test development is a strong plus.

• Advanced English and Portuguese
